Edmund Sandoval
Hi. I am a copywriter, a fictioneer, an essayist, and a once-in-a-blue-moon poet.
I got my start as a professional writer almost ten years ago with Grovemade, an industrial design studio and purveyor of finely crafted home goods in the good green city of Portland, Oregon.
Since then, I've had the opportunity to work with many brands, from the tiniest startups to global behemoths across a wide range of industries, including consumer-packaged goods, hospitality, business consulting, tech and financial services, healthcare, a sprinkle of clothingwear, and beyond. Over the years, my skill set has expanded into verbal design, UX writing, content design, long-form content writing, and the (very) occasional script.
Before my life as a pusher of words, I attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I studied creative writing as a Trustee Scholar and received an MFA in the craft. Since then, I've published steadily in some of the nation's finest literary journals, from the American Literary Review to The Common to The Greensboro Review. Like many a copywriter before me, I'm currently banging my head earnestly against the wall as I chip away at a novel that will surely change the landscape of American fiction... if I ever finish it.
As for the right now, I'm a Senior Copywriter at R/GA, having joined the agency in the fall of 2020. I work remotely from the comfort of my home in Chicago, where I live with my wife Jeanne, our many wallpapered walls, and our thirty-four beautiful houseplant children.
